Responsibilities: Serve as an important member of a multiple-client engagements team. Supervision of business valuation engagements for purposes of estate and gift taxes; other tax and regulatory compliance issues; financial reporting; management planning; mergers and acquisitions; recapitalization and restructuring; litigation consulting; and economic impact analysis. Identify critical valuation issues.  Research, propose, and execute relevant strategies to reach a resolution on such issues. Stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to business valuation issues. Assume a supervisory role in the generation of detailed financial models and valuation or advisory reports. Supervise and mentor professional staff while maintaining high levels of staff utilization. Maintain positive and productive relationships with clients and enhance services provided to clients through the effective use of technology, tools, staff utilization, and project management skills.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting from an accredited college/university is required.  Master's degree in business, finance, or accounting is a plus. Minimum of 4 to 5 years experience in business valuation at a valuation, consulting, or accounting firm (preferably a regional or national firm). Experience with valuation of early stage growth companies, stock options valuation, IRS 409A valuation, intangible asset valuation, purchase price allocation (SFAS 141)/goodwill impairment testing is preferred. Achievement of or significant progress towards a CFA, ASA/AM, or CVA/AVA designation are a plus with the expectation of one completed designation within a given timeframe. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, strong business and financial statement analysis skills, solid understanding of the capital markets, and client and staff management skills are required. Possess the ability to multi-task, and demonstrate the highest personal integrity and dedication in the timely completion of tasks. Possess the ability to manage project expenditures against budget and revenue guidelines while providing adequate supervision to staff to ensure the completion of a quality work product. Be a team player and demonstrate a willingness to assist in various levels of other types of consulting projects such as business process improvement and client accounting services.
