Construction Accountant/Office Manager

Smith and Sons Electric a  Commercial Contractor Celebrating it’s 38th Year in Business is Seeking a FT Construction Accountant/Office Manager. The Individual Should Have the Ability to: • 5 Plus Years of Construction Accounting/Office Management Experience • Accounting degree is a plus • Work in a Multi Task Environment, Self Motivated, Prioritize and Meet Deadlines with Accuracy and Attention to Detail • Be Responsible for GL, AR, AP,PR, Full Cycle Accounting Including Financial Statements • Bank Reconciliation • Cash Flow Management • Certified Payroll and Wage Garnishment • Union Transmittals • Federal & State Tax Reporting • Management of Insurance Policies and Audits • Monthly AIA Progress Billings • Develop Project Budgets, Project/Contract Set Up • Job Cost Reports • Purchase Order/Vendor Account Reconciliation • Lien Releases, Lien Procedures and Filings • Proficient in MS Office Applications, Specifically Excel • Position Requires Extensive Working Knowledge of AMERICAN CONTRACTOR ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE • Must be Independent and Able to Work W/O Direct Supervision • Communication and Telephones Skills • Other Associated Construction Accounting/Office Management Tasks • Salary is Negotiable Based Upon Experience • Medical • 401k • Paid Vac/Holidays. • Flex Time Available • Employment is subject to a complete background check including criminal,credit and employment history.
