Cash Manager

Large, public, reputable company looking for a Cash Manager. Excellent organization that offers work/life balance.

Purpose of Position

The position oversees banking relationships, all cash functions including daily banking, investing and borrowing, forecasting of cash position and balance sheet. The position oversees the insurance renewal process and related budgeting for property, workers compensation and general liability.  It also oversees related accounting associated with cash management and insurance and is integral to the monthly closing process, interim and year-end process, annual budget and forecast processes. 

 

The position is a highly visible position interacting with all functional groups within the organization including manufacturing, engineering, payroll, benefits, tax and credit.



 

Management:  Supervise a senior treasury analyst.  Create and foster a team atmosphere with the entire department.  Assess organization strengths and weaknesses. Develop goals and train personnel.





Cash Management: Oversee daily cash transactions, wire transfers, investments and manage $300 million of revolver debt.  Coordinate year end cash activity.  Maintain bank relationships.  Key contact for all cash and banking related issues.  Prepare or review accounting for all treasury banking related transactions. Set rates for foreign currency and prepare associated analysis. 



 

Forecasting:  Prepare 6-week cash forecast and 12 month balance sheet forecast to determine short-term funding needs. 

 

Risk Management:  Coordinate insurance claims, prepare annual insurance renewal packages, authorize payments of premiums and claims, prepare associated account analysis and develop associated insurance budgets. 

 



Best Practices: Analyze existing processes, identify opportunities and implement best practices.  Ensures compliance with internal and SOX controls.  Skills and Knowledge Set

The successful candidate will have the following skill set:

3 years + experience in treasury/cash management and insurance

Experience with projecting cash flows and balance sheet forecasting

Supervisory experience a must

Strong oral and written communication skills

Advanced user of Excel

BS/BA in Accounting or Finance preferred
