RESPONSIBILITIES:Development of cost accounting systems, policies and procedures.Develop cost standards for materials and labor/OH.Analyze production costs and variances.Responsible for government contract cost accounting including determination of labor and overhead rates within DCAA guidelines.  Support DCAA and outside audits.Produce and distribute job cost information as well as contract cost data.Responsible for job billing in accordance with contract terms.Assist with pricing for bids and proposals.Coordinate and manage yearly physical inventory.Assist in month end and year end close.Assist Controller on special projects.

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:5+ years experience in cost accounting in an R&D and manufacturing environment.Experience in government accounting and contract compliance a plus.JD Edwards experience is preferred.Solid IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.Strong team orientation.Solid analytical skills.

Proactive, independent thinker and problem-solver.

Good communication skills.

EDUCATION:  BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
