COLLECTIONS COORDINATOR
BASIC FUNCTION: This position will require a self-motivated individual who has a desire to deliver exceptional customer service to students and parents at CEA. Areas of responsibility will include monitoring the student receivables process, consortium agreements and financial aid paperwork processing.
IMPORTANCE/JOB DUTIES – Specific Responsibilities:
· Responsible for aggressively pursuing past due student accounts according to the Company’s policies and procedures.
· Advises students and parents on financial aid and other alternative financing programs.
· Prepare receivables aging reports for management.
· Process Financial Aid forms and consortium agreements.
· Other duties as assigned.
PERFORMANCE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Demonstrates a proactive approach to helping students facilitate the financial aid process through their Home Institution
· Demonstrates responsiveness, initiative and positive attitude
· Provides appropriate and timely responses to student and parents regarding issues prior to departure
· Communicate effectively with onsite staff for all registration related issues.
· Provides proactive follow up with outstanding final payment issues
· Demonstrates an excellent level of customer service through a positive attitude, responsiveness & attention to customer feedback
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field, preferred but not required
· At least two years of previous work related customer service and collections experience
· Evidence of presentation, interpersonal and written communication skills
· Must be detail oriented
· Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
· Must be a team player
WORKING ENVIORNMENT:
· Typical office environment
· Comfortable working conditions
· May include long periods of sitting
· Heavy computer work
· May experience periodic eye strain due to overhead lighting and excessive computer work
· Moderate to heavy telephone usage required
· Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
