Assistant to the Controller

Privately held consumer products company located in Orange County is seeking a management level accounting professional to assist in overseeing Corporate monthly close activity and financial statement development.  The position manages a staff of 10 and will be responsible for all traditional aspects related to Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounting issues, overseeing Collections and Disbursements, Corporate Tax accounting issues, and Cash Management functions. Assist the Controller in preparing Senior Management Board reports, as well as providing analysis of operating results against forecasted budgeted amounts.  Provide support in terms of systems management and internal control development.  Perform special projects on an as needed basis. The successful candiddate should have at least 2 years of supervisory experience with increasing responsibility in a corporate accounting setting.Public accounting experience a plus, CPA desirable but not mandatory.  Company environment is pro-active, positive, and business casual. If you are interested in this opportunity, please email your resume to Deanna Shiley at dshiley@century-group.com . You can view all of our career opportunities online at www.century-group.com. Click on our logo above to learn more information about Century Group! If you do not currently reside in Los Angeles or Orange County, but will be relocating to the area, please include your relocation plans in your application.
