Assistant Controller for growing biotech company
Growing biotech company on the Peninsula is looking for a Assistant Controller. A key role will be managing the overall finance and accounting operations, financial systems and controls, internal financial reporting, ad hoc decision support, tax compliance, cash management, and budget process of subsidiary.Responsibilities:· Manages all aspects of accounting function including monthly and quarterly accounting close. Gathers/analyzes financial information and prepares monthly journal entries to ensure the fairness and accuracy of the monthly financial reporting. Prepares reconciliations of all material G/L accounts. Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual internal financial statements. Maintains the subsidiary’s chart of accounts.· Manages annual and quarterly subsidiary budgeting process. Coordinates with Department Heads to ensure departmental budgets are done in a timely manner. Performs ongoing budget control monitoring.· Prepare monthly and quarterly budget reports which include investigating and documenting significant fluctuations from budget and prior year.Qualifications:BS degree in Accounting 5 - 7 years of related experience Accountants Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
