Assistant Controller - Call: Anitha 310-316-8186 x212Description: Volt Professional Search is currently recruiting for an Assistant Controller for our own subsidiary company, VTG located in Corona. Here is an opportunity to unite with a global, full-service provider of turnkey solutions to the telecommunications, cable and wireless industries. VTG is the sole-source provider to both the private and government sectors, as well as a number of Fortune 500 companies. The Assistant Controller is responsible for ensuring that the financial operations remain in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley 404 regulations. This newly created position has been added to further streamline process and enhance automation. Additional responsibilities include directing and managing the general ledger accounting and financial reporting functions. Hands-on involvement will be required to ensure staff development, process improvement, and follow through on department changes. Weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports must be reviewed with findings and recommendations reported to the management team. This newly created position is expected to add value by identifying and implementing procedural best practices and communicating them to the executive committee. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years hands-on general ledger accounting experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Candidates should have advanced level technical skills and ideally, a background creating automation tools. Bachelors degree in Accounting is required and a CPA is a plus.
