The Rail, Logistics and Terminals business unit, which employs over 200 people across several continents, is seeking to increase market presence in the Americas by expanding its sales team. 

 

 

Summary

 

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Services, as a key member of the Credit & Accounts Receivable department, is responsible for customer payment application and account reconciliation, to include recording payments.  In addition, will refund credits and similar items to customer accounts.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 Maintain records, paperwork and filing systems. Respond to customer requests for invoice documents. Operation of automated accounting system, data entry/input, updating and retrieving data related to customer history, payments, account balances and general information. Receive, research and resolve a variety of internal and external customer inquiries concerning account status; initiate communications to resolve customer payment discrepancies. Process correcting entries. Process electronic files of cash & credit card transactions from automated sources. Must be available to work overtime as needed.



Education/Experience:

GED or High School diploma and 4 – 6 years of general accounting background.

 Demonstrated experience in accounting, cash application, customer service experience. Understanding of basic accounting principles. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, accounting systems. Oracle AR experience required. Data entry and keyboard skills, including accurate ten-key by touch. Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Ability to work well as a team player and also independently. Ability to make decisions in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations.
