We have an immediate opening in our accounting department for an ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE MANAGER. This position is:

Responsible for the supervision of employees involved in all billing, collection and billing review functions for assigned business unit(s). 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Responsible for the sales/invoicing function, as follows: 

·  Review outstanding jobs list in Inventory Tracking System to ensure timely billing

·  Manage the process in coordination with assigned areas

·  Review billed invoices for accuracy and completeness on an exception basis

·  Coordinate closing and month-end balancing

·  Audit for unbilled jobs and proper billing cutoff

·  Assist in balancing inter-business unit accounts

·  Manage morning meeting to ensure proper workflow

·  Review Inventory Tracking System problem log to ensure issues are cleared timely

·  Review Inventory Tracking System “In Review” report to ensure timeliness off bill review.

·  Complete monthly sales flash for management

 

Responsible for the cash receipts/balances function, as follows: 

·  Monitor daily cash balances 

·  Direct deposits to the correct bank

·  Familiarity with Postage Permit Funding and monitor deposit transactions

 

Responsible for the postage function, as follows: 

·  Oversight of Permit Funding process

·  Monitor daily balancing of permits and meters

·  Communicate shortages to account reps/sales/clients

·  Oversight of cash receipts to customer deposits

·  Review and research and dispose of old balance or credits

 

Responsible for the collections function, as follows: 

·  Review accounts receivable aging weekly with revenue analyst and assistant controller

·  Direct staff to make collection calls

·  Coordinate with other managers on problem clients

·  Process deduction notices through the approval process

·  General credit memoranda, as required

·  Oversight of new customer credit checks and set limits

 

Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company
