Accounts Payable Manager - Los Angeles, CA

Summary:This position will manage the Accounts Payable Department and will demonstrate the ability to lead, plan, schedule and direct day-to-day activities. Major Responsibilities:1. Lead, plan, schedule and direct day to day activities of Accounts Payable2. Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of invoices, ensuring any prompt payment discounts are taken3. Responsible for adherence to controls as outline in KP policy and procedures, generally accepted accounting principles, SOX compliance and regulatory requirements4. Reviews accounts payable ledgers, operational performance metrics and ensures established performance goals are achieved5. Provide high level of customer service to internal/external customers to ensure KP objectives are accomplished.6. Monitors records of amounts owed and ensures prompt payment of invoices.7. Promotes a team environment and provides work direction and guidance.Minimum Requirements:* 7 years accounting, quality, process improvement and managerial level experience* 3-5 years of high volume accounts payable processing experience* 3 years managing people within financial operations* Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead clerical, supervisory and exempt staff* Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence people* Strong knowledge of procurement to payment process* Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, workflow analysis and internal controls * Familiarity with software applications, databases and spreadsheets including Visio, Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and mainframe systems Preferred Qualifications:* Bachelors degree (BS or BA) recommended.
