Accounting Technician - Bookkeeper

You’ll work side-by-side with people you can trust and respect!Help PFG / Vistar be a leader in the Food Distribution industry by doing your part as a Bookkeeper who will assist with the month-end closing process and financial reporting for field locations.As a Bookkeeper you will support the finance and accounting of field locations by performing month-end close, compiling financial information, assisting with the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, and performing related clerical work as required.Job Responsibilities: Prepare and record journal entries; prepare and record month-end accruals; assist with general ledger account analysis and reconciliations; assist with the preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting; responsible for the record retention of accounting records; and perform clerical tasks as assigned.Required Experience: 2 plus years of accounting or other relevant experience; working knowledge and basic understanding of basic accounting procedures; ability to meet strict deadlines and attention to detail. Demonstrated computer skills with spreadsheet programs and accounting software. Knowledge to a major ERP application (i.e. SAP, Oracle, Lawson, PeopleSoft) a plus.
