LOCATION: San Gabriel Valley area POSITION: Accounting Analyst (Cost Analyst) SALARY: up to $70K + 5% bonus (Exempted, may have slight stretch to low/mid $70Ks) JOB DETAILS: We are looking for individuals with 3-5 yrs of manufacturing experience who possess longevity with past employers. The ideal individual needs to be able to think outside of the box, customer service driven, work overtime hours (45-50hrs/week) and some weekends (maybe 1 Sunday per month). The system that this individual will work heavily with is SAP. The Accounting Analyst will act as a financial consultant in areas that impact manufacturing cost of operations and budgeting. To participate in assigned area of setting budgets and reporting/analysis of specific controllable manufacturing costs and recognize internal control issues within assigned area and make recommendations to correct them. To participate in a team environment and provide support with regard to daily accounting requirements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Assist Corporate Tax and Audit, Operations Financial Services and Accounts Receivable as necessary to resolve problems, questions, and/or to provide information as required. The ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of financial and cost analysis principles and techniques as well as generally accepted accounting principles as they relate to a manufacturing facility. Must have the ability to use computer based decision support systems, and develop end user applications with limited assistance. Must have solid communication skills and potential to deal with all levels of plant and corporate analysts. Ability to assist other cost analyst and/or operations personnel in the preparation of presentations to appropriate levels within the plant. Must have the ability to assist other financial personnel in the development of objectives and design of analytical projects. In assigned areas, coach and instruct non-financial personnel with regard to business opportunities and operational alternatives. Must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or the equivalent.
