Accounting Clerk - Accounts Receivable

The Jonathan Club, an upscale member's only club with 114 years of history is currently recruiting for an Accounting Clerk.

Job responsibililties include:Preparation of bi-weekly food & beverage, athletics and barbershop department commissions, reciprocal billings and processing member account adjustments and credits.Club within the club accounting requests, banquet deposit reconciliation and application, advance banquet account billings and statement processing as necessary.Collect daily POS sales receipts. Tally and audit all receipts by Town Club Food & Beverage and Beach Club food & beverage in addition to athletics departments.Maintain daily town and beach club commission reports used by payroll. Complete in accordance with tight bi-weekly deadlines.Analysis and reconciliation of account balances.

Qualifications include:Minimum two years of accounts receivable and customer service experience.Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field of study or relevant work experience.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access and accounting software applications.Ten key by touch.Ability to maintain technical competence in gratuity allocation and commission formulas, and all club computer systems, including touchscreen point of sale systems.Strong communication skills.
