AUDITOR-FINANCIAL ANALYST

Responsible for planning, determining scope and auditing of large, complex or multiple projects in accordance with accepted standards, report audit findings and make recommendations for correcting unsatisfactory conditions, improving operations and reducing costs. Manage teams, report and communicate audit results, recommend possible corrective actions and gain commitment from the organization to take appropriate next steps and to follow up on actions and commitments. Review audit conclusions regarding whether organizational units in the company are performing their planning and control activities in compliance with management instructions and applicable statements of policy and procedures in a manner consistent with both company objectives and high standards of management practices. Oversee the preparation of clearly written, easily understood audit reports outlining issues and corrective action plans for business process owners, Senior Management and the Audit Committee. Own and manage the follow-up activities for open audit issues to ensure issues are addressed on a timely basis. Ability to represent Internal Audit group in cross-functional initiatives within the company. Manage multiple non-audit responsibilities and special projects as assigned. Manage multiple Internal audit department process improvements as assigned. Participate in all analyst recruiting efforts. Perform training, coaching and supervising as needed. Provides performance evaluations for other staff members on all projects. Consult, interact and maintain relationships with all levels of SMI management which may include senior and executive management or Board members. Requires approximately 30% travel * Acts as expert source of advice to others on all aspects of own discipline(s). * Technical master, acting as a resource for resolution of unique and highly complex business problems. * Recognized authority in discipline(s) across Sun with the ability to influence decision makers. * The ability to make complex decisions sometimes with incomplete information and affecting the long term direction of the department. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of financial and business process evaluation and improvement techniques. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to set departmental goals and achieve them. Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a remote or virtual team environment. Strong financial and business process analytical skills. Strong project management skills. Demonstrated ability to supervise multiple audit teams. Strong knowledge and experience in internal or external audit. Working knowledge of US GAAP, IIA Standards, COSO Framework and Internal Audit methodologies and processes. Ability to engage and effectively influence senior and executive management and board members. Experience in business operations or related management activities. Knowledge of risk management procedures. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE: A BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field. 12+ years relevant work experience. Foreign language skills and/or international business experience and prior experience working with audit management software such as TeamMate. Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field preferred, not required. Recommended certifications: CPA, CIA, CFE or CISA.
