The Accounts Receivable (A/R) Manager manages accounts receivables with the goal of maximizing timely receipt of customer payments.  The A/R manager works closely with the corporate contracts team to understand contract terms and ensure compliance from a billing perspective; specifically, obtaining

billing terms and milestones from contracts and instigating timely and accurate billings.  This position researches and resolves A/R issues, identifying delinquent customer accounts, initiating collection efforts and documenting those efforts.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES

Ø Coordinate and input accounts receivable, billing, credit and collection.

Ø Process cash receipts, daily bank deposits and credit card payments.

Ø Research and resolve all invoice discrepancies.

Ø Maintain database with customer billing terms and work with management to ensure timely and accurate billing.

Ø Monitor daily cash and customer payments.

Ø Review and maintain customer information.

Ø Collaborate with management on invoices overdue by 30 days.

Ø Provide weekly and monthly AR reports.

Ø Generating 60 and 90 day late letters, as well as service hold letters. 

Ø Analyze delinquency trends.

Ø Prepare accruals and reconcile sub-ledger to the GL.

Ø Perform general ledger posting and monthly/year-end reconciliations.

Ø Prepare/generate aging reports.

Ø Maintain cash applications, account reconciliations and chargebacks.

Ø Work in conjunction with project managers to communicate with customers on A/R issues.

Ø Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting or a related field.  A minimum of 5+ years of accounts receivable and collection experience.  Strong Microsoft Office skills, with particular proficiency in Excel.  Experience in Great Plains a plus along with prior general ledger experience.
