We are looking for an AP Associate to join our team in Washington, D.C. Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

 Process accounts payable for all entities- AHLA, Foundation, EI, and ALIS in accordance with company policyResponsible for monthly reconciliation of sub-ledger control accounts to the General LedgerResponsible for the proper payment of all appropriately authorized and approved invoicesResponsible for taking advantage of available discountsResponsible for the proper scheduling and processing of unique and recurring paymentsResponsible for accurate tax calculations and maintaining data integrityResponsible for smooth integration of best practice process flows as they relate to accounts payableDrive departmental efficiencies and continuous improvement Responsible for problem tracking, escalation and resolutionCommunicate policy and procedural changes to vendors, employees and other appropriate partiesFacilitate working relationships with client vendorsProvide audit support to client specific to Accounts PayableInterface with various levels of internal and external vendorsAuthorize Expense Reports for PaymentTrain employees in using the Concur Expense Report SystemPrepare and file 1099sReporting specific to accounts payablePerform Special Projects and ledger reconciliations as assigned

Qualifications/Work Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred5 to 7 years relevant accounting experienceStrong knowledge of the Accounts Payable end to end processUnderstanding of key internal controlsExperience with executive level interactionExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly skilled in accounts payable modules and softwareMicrosoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
