AP/AR Clerk

We are looking for an organized person with strong accounting skills and enjoys a lot of interaction with people and many diversified duties. Candidate should have at least an associates degree in accounting. Should have good computer skills and good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Internet.

 

Job Purpose:

Secures revenue by verifying and posting receipts; resolving discrepancies.

Duties:
Posts customer payments by recording cash and checks
Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions * Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
Maintains records by scanning invoices, debits, and credits.
Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales
Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
Resolves invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures.
Resolves collections by examining accounts receivables
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
