ACCOUNTING MANAGER / CONTROLLER - Construction Industry Exp

Timberline experience - Accounting Manager / Controller for construction Company in Fort Lauderdale, FL

 

 

We are looking for a Controller / Accounting Manager with construction industry experience in the Fort Lauderdale area.  The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Overseeing general ledger - maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts to bank statements or sub-ledgers: bank accounts; A/P and A/R; property and equipment; capitalization of assets and depreciation; payroll; maintaining job reports (WIP); billings and job costs reports.

Preparing monthly and year end financial statements.

Manage Accounting Department - Payroll, AP/AR.

Manage cash flows, receivable collection, accounts payable, line of credits, etc. 

Complete audits and tax returns. 

Partner with senior management to evaluate job profitability.

 

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years managing an Accounting Department with the responsibilities described above. Experience in the construction industry, excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to present different scenarios and make recommendations to senior management. Timberline software experience required.
